sometimes I love to play instruments that I dont know to play. At that time I was fascinated from the suyás's music, one of the brazilian indian cultures (state form mato grosso) and I borrowed a flute for write something for it: so the flute became a sounding intercultural object. "Upitu" means in tupi guarani, one of the most speaked native languages, "respiration". (Chico Mello)

Manchmal spiele ich gerne auf Instrumente die ich nicht spielen kann. Ich habe mir eine Flöte ausgeliehen und hörte damals gerne die Musik der Suyás Indianer: die Flöte ist ein klingende interkulturelle und Selbstentdeckung-Objekt? geworden.
Upitu heißt auf Tupi Guarani, eine der in Brasilien meist gesprochene Indianische Sprache, so etwas wie Atmen.
