Ajuda com m-audio + mesa + ubuntu

Boa tarde a todos.
Estamos configurando um pc para edição de audio, para uma ONG aqui em Goiás (Pirenópolis).

Possuímos uma mesa alto mix 220 fx. Havia sido indicado pra gente uma interface firewire da m-audio (Fire-Wire 1418), porém não estamos encontrando com facilidade e estou em dúvida quanto à compatibilidade.
Tava dando uma olhada nas interfaces suportadas pelo driver ALSA e não achei referência à nenhuma firewire:

O que seria ideal, com relação à compatibilidade tanto com o Ubuntu quanto à mesa?

A configuração do pc seria:
Core 2 Quad 2.83 GHz
MB ASUS p/ Intel P5QC
ATI Radeon HD 4650 1024mb
8 GB DDR3 1066MHz
HD SATA 2 500.0 Gb 7200 RPM

The article also points out that, given the crumbling state of many Argentine soccer stadiums, it's SY0-201hard to imagine their implementing such a high-tech solution with any efficacy.

We chose to work together but in different places and that through various means (telephone, Internet and others) can take the same dynamic of work that we carried out personally ccna answers. This methodology of work will be accompanied by various gatherings to maintain, by different channels needed to carry out a necessary communication and achieve the various developments necessary for the final. In the next hours, we will show some aspects of a campaign we have done, that will be part of the various actions that the department of communication take place.

Procurando aqui, pensei na Profire 610 ou na Profire 2626, ma s ainda não consegui descobrir o quesito compatibilidade com o Ubuntu.
E a conexão com a mesa, como seria, para passar para um programa multitrack? Porque a 610 tem menos canais que a mesa, certo?

Ola então vamos lá...só deixar nitido umas coisas....

se falou em uma placa com interface Firewire (1394), quem dá suporte a isso é o projeto FFADO

Antigamento o projeto se chamava FreeBob - http://freebob.sourceforge.net

Então ao visitar a lista de dispositivos suportados pelo FFADO e FreeBob tu pode comprar esta placa de captura de audio com interface firewire.

Na lista do projeto ffado está como não suportada....
Alguma ajuda?
